After law school, I practiced intellectual property law at Bingham McCutchen LLP for a couple of years.  Since 2000, I have been in solo legal practice representing hundreds of small IP owners, with an emphasis in newspaper comic syndication.

In 2007, I earned the National Cartoonists Society's Silver T-Square Award for legal services provided to the organization and its member cartoonists.

Unlike most IP attorneys, I'm also an IP owner.  I have created over 3,000 published law-themed cartoons ( www.stus.com ) used in hundreds of books, lectures, web sites, and products.
